Iqama, ID & Passport Translation in 1 Hour
Jeddah is home to residents of dozens of nationalities and to the consulates of many countries, and its banks, companies and universities handle identity documents in different languages every day. That is why iqama translation in Jeddah, along with national IDs and passport data pages, is such a common need. At Almadani Translation’s Jeddah branch on Prince Sultan Road we deliver it within one hour of confirmation, stamped and signed, after a second translator has matched every name and number to the original.
Requests received 24/7
When will someone in Jeddah ask for your iqama or ID in translation?
At a consulate: many residents need a translated copy of their iqama when renewing a passport, registering a newborn or recording a marriage at their country’s consulate in Jeddah, as proof of legal residence in the Kingdom.
In a visa file: citizens and residents applying for tourist or study visas attach a translated ID or iqama along with bank statements and an employer letter. See consulate and embassy file translation.
For an authority abroad: a bank in your home country, a university admitting your child, or a government office asking for proof of your address and residence in Saudi Arabia.
For children and family: dependants’ iqamas and IDs translated for international school files abroad or family reunion.
For a Saudi national ID: a citizen opening an account or enrolling at a university or hospital outside the Kingdom may need an English translation of their ID.

Where mistakes usually happen
Your name between Arabic and Latin script
Your iqama shows your name in Arabic, your passport in Latin letters, and the two can differ. Our rule: the passport spelling is the reference. So we ask for your passport data page with your iqama and never guess how a name is spelled.
The profession as written
The profession on the iqama is translated with its exact equivalent, not a nicer job title or one closer to your current role, because the authority will compare it with its own records.
Hijri dates
Some cards show Hijri expiry dates, which we carry over as written. Where the card also shows a Gregorian date, we include that too.
Numbers
An iqama or civil registry number has ten digits, and one wrong digit invalidates the translation, so the reviewer reads it digit by digit.
Digital iqama and the physical card
We translate the plastic card, and we can also translate a screenshot of the digital iqama from Absher or Tawakkalna if that is what you have, provided the image is complete and clear. Some authorities prefer the card, so check what the receiving authority accepts.
Order in four steps
- Photograph both sides of the card, plus your passport data page, without flash or cropping.
- Send them to WhatsApp +966 56 944 2222 with the name of the receiving authority and the language you need.
- Receive your quote and confirm.
- Within an hour you receive the translation electronically; the printed copy is delivered to you or collected from the branch.
If you are in North Jeddah or near Al Basatin, Al Muhammadiyah or An Naim, stopping by the branch to collect the printed copy may be easiest.

I sent my request at night. When will I get it?
WhatsApp takes requests at any time, and when we reply we confirm your delivery time.
My name on the iqama differs from my passport. Which do you use?
We use the passport spelling. If the authority wants something else, tell us before we start.
Can you translate the iqamas of a whole company’s staff?
