Certified Medical Report Translation in Jeddah

A medical report is no ordinary document. It contains a diagnosis, dosages, lab results and medical decisions that treatment, insurance cover or travel may depend on. An inaccurate translation can delay treatment, get an insurance claim rejected, or leave a doctor in another country unable to understand what was written.

At Almadani Translation’s Jeddah branch, we produce certified translations of medical reports that are stamped and signed and reviewed by a second translator before delivery. Everything is handled in strict confidence, and we can sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Why medical translation is in such demand in Jeddah

Jeddah is home to major public and private specialist hospitals, including King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Jeddah, King Abdulaziz University Hospital, Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital and the International Medical Center. Patients travel to them from Makkah, Madinah, Taif and across the western region. All that medical activity creates translation needs in both directions:

  • Treatment abroad. A patient takes their file from a Jeddah hospital to a hospital in another country, and the receiving doctor needs a report they can read.
  • Medical visas. Many countries require a translated medical report as part of a treatment visa application. Consulate translation
  • Health insurance. Insurance claims, especially with international insurers or for treatment outside the network.
  • Employers and universities. Sick leave submitted to an employer or university outside the Kingdom, or to an international organisation inside it.
  • Patients coming to Jeddah. Reports issued in other languages that a doctor or authority here needs in Arabic.
  • Legal and compensation cases. Injury and accident reports used in legal proceedings.

How we translate a medical report accurately

Terminology first

We translate each medical term into its established clinical equivalent, not a literal rendering that would confuse the reader.

Numbers and units left untouched

Lab values, units of measurement and dosages, such as mg and mmol/L, are reproduced exactly as in the original, along with reference ranges. We never convert one unit to another, because that is a medical decision, not a linguistic one.

Drug names and abbreviations

Drug names stay in their generic or brand form as written. Common medical abbreviations are handled according to context, and if an abbreviation is ambiguous in the original, we flag it to you rather than guess.

Handwriting

Some prescriptions and notes are handwritten. We translate what is clearly legible and mark any part that is not, and we never guess at a medical word we cannot read with certainty.

A second review

A second translator checks the whole report against the original, paying particular attention to numbers, dosages, dates and drug names, before the translation is stamped and signed.

Please note: our role is to translate exactly what the report says, not to interpret it. For any question about a diagnosis or treatment, please ask your doctor.

Confidentiality and privacy

Medical information is among the most sensitive data there is, so:

  • Only the assigned translator and reviewer see your report
  • We sign a non-disclosure agreement on request, for individuals, companies or hospitals
  • You can send your report on WhatsApp or by email to info@almadanitranslation.co
