Certified Translation for Expats and Workers in Jeddah, All Languages
From the day a resident arrives in Jeddah to the day of final exit, plenty of paperwork needs certified translation: passport and iqama, driving licence, employment contract, children’s school records, marriage and birth documents. Almadani Translation’s Al Basatin branch provides certified translation for expats and workers from and into any language, including Urdu, Bengali, Tagalog, Indonesian, Amharic, Somali, Swahili and many more. We confirm the language, timing and price before we start.
Open 24/7
Documents residents in Jeddah need, and when
| Stage | Typical documents |
|---|---|
| Arrival and iqama issuance | Passport data page, professional certificates, medical tests and reports |
| Driving | A foreign licence when converting it, or the Saudi licence for travel |
| Work | Employment contract, experience certificates, salary letters |
| Family | Marriage contract, children’s birth certificates, family record, for family visit and residency files |
| School | Certificates, transcripts and transfer letters when enrolling or moving children |
| Official matters | Powers of attorney, court rulings, police clearance certificates from your home country |
| Leaving or going home | Saudi documents (iqama, experience certificate, academic certificates) translated into your home-country language |
Requirements differ between authorities, so ask the body that will receive the document exactly what it wants, then send us what it asked for.

Your language not in the table? Send a photo of the document on WhatsApp, tell us the language you need, and we will confirm it with your quote.
Your name, exactly as in your passport
A common problem in residents’ files is a name spelled differently from one document to the next. A name like “Mohammed” can appear three ways in three documents, and a transaction comes back over a single letter. So we:
- Use the passport spelling as the reference for every name
- Keep family members’ names identical across all documents in the same order
- Flag it before delivery if an original spells a name differently from the passport
Send a photo of your passport page with any document that contains names, even if you do not need the passport translated.
Attestation first, or translation first?
Some authorities in the Kingdom require a document issued in your country to be attested by the competent authorities there and by the Saudi embassy, and then given a certified translation. In that case the usual order is attestation first, then translation, so the attestation stamps appear in the translation itself. We translate the document with all its stamps and annotations; the attestation itself is handled by the official bodies. If you are unsure of the order, ask the receiving authority before you order.
For employers and organisations
If you manage files for staff of different nationalities, you can send several employees’ documents in a single order. We agree with you on:
- The list of documents and languages for each employee
- A delivery time confirmed with the quote
- A non-disclosure agreement on request, since staff files contain personal data
We also keep terminology, such as job titles, consistent across every file.
Delivery times
- Within one hour: iqama, national ID, passport data page, driving licence
- Same day, or at the time confirmed with your quote: other urgent documents
- Large files: a schedule agreed in advance
Rush service is available for an extra fee. Timing for some less widely used languages may differ, and we will tell you before we start.
What you get with every translation
A stamped and signed translation from an office holding license No. 64 and working since 1982, reviewed by a second translator before delivery. You receive it electronically, with the printed copy delivered or collected at our Al Basatin branch. Almadani Translation is listed on the translator lists of the British and U.S. Embassies in Riyadh; acceptance of a translation remains the decision of the receiving authority.
Frequently asked questions
Do you translate Amharic or Tigrinya into Arabic?
Yes. We translate from and into African languages, including Amharic, Tigrinya, Somali, Swahili and Hausa. Send the document and we will confirm the timing and price.
Can I order if I am at work all day?
Yes. WhatsApp takes orders 24/7, and someone on your behalf can collect the printed copy from the branch, or we can deliver it.
Can you translate my Saudi experience certificate into my own language?
Yes. When a contract ends or you leave on final exit, we translate experience certificates, employment letters and academic certificates from Arabic into Urdu, Bengali, Tagalog or whatever language your new employer or home authority requires, keeping your name as spelled in your passport.
Do you guarantee acceptance by Jawazat, the traffic department or a school?
We provide a certified, stamped and reviewed translation, but acceptance is up to the receiving authority. That is why we recommend checking its requirements before you order.
